Designed as a wide panoramic horizontal composition, the upper section features gradient iron-red glaze depicting the soft glow of early spring sunrise, with a scarlet sun tucked amid misty distant mountains, creating a seamless warm-cold color transition. The main scene portrays a lush Jiangnan water town rendered through multi-tone blue washes. Sharp rocky peaks rise on the left, covered with dense foliage; classic white-wall black-tile Jiangnan farmhouses line the riverbank, paired with wooden fences, stone steps and tiny human figures for vivid lifelike detail. A wide misty lake stretches across the center, dotted with waterfowl and a lone fishing skiff carrying a fisherman. Layered green mountains, cascading waterfalls and ancient pines emerge from soft fog on the right, with wild geese floating across the sky, using foreground, midground and distant layers to build profound spatial depth, perfectly capturing the mild, hazy charm of spring in southern Yangtze regions. Cursive blue calligraphy reading Spring Dawn over Jiangnan decorates the upper-left corner, followed by a long colophon with production date and artist signature, stamped with two vermilion carved seals. Fluid brushwork harmonizes naturally with the landscape scene. The painter mastered graduated blue wash techniques, shifting from deep indigo to pale celadon to distinctly render textures of mountains, trees, mist and flowing water. As underglaze pigment, the color stays stable and soft after high-temperature firing and will never fade. The solid wood rectangular frame delivers neat, elegant display fit for residential hall wall decoration. Large complete blue landscape porcelain plaques from modern Jingdezhen are relatively scarce on the global market. This specimen features balanced composition, harmonious color palette and exquisite craftsmanship, fully representing the top artistic standard of contemporary Jingdezhen landscape porcelain painting. Highly sought after by collectors of East Asian art across North America, it holds outstanding decorative appeal and reliable long-term collecting appreciation value.
