It features a flared dish mouth, an elongated straight neck decorated with three evenly spaced raised horizontal ribs, a full spherical mid-section wrapped with one wide relief string band, and a slightly splayed foot ring. The flowing silhouette balances archaic ritual charm with luxurious imperial aesthetic. The whole outer surface is covered in precious Langyao copper red glaze, rich, saturated and warm with thick translucent glaze layer and natural fine hairline crackles that shift subtly under light, presenting deep noble red tones. The interior mouth rim exhibits spectacular natural flambe color transition, blending cream white base with swirling indigo, violet and amber streaks interlaced with dense antique crackle, a one-of-a-kind natural effect formed during high-temperature firing, impossible to fully replicate. The base is covered in glossy clean white glaze, bearing a standard six-character Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi blue seal mark with neat, precise calligraphy and rich cobalt blue pigment. A thin pale yellow slip lines the foot rim, a typical period detail. Langyao red glaze was notoriously difficult to fire in ancient kilns, with the old saying “One can go bankrupt firing Lang red” referencing its extremely low success rate, as copper red easily runs dark or burns away under high heat. Large intact globular vases with string relief are quite scarce on the global antique market. The vibrant red glaze symbolizes lasting fortune and auspiciousness, while the string patterns carry the cultural heritage of ancient ceremonial jadeware. Originally crafted as imperial court ornamental pieces, this museum-quality vessel delivers irreplaceable craftsmanship research value, premium interior display potential and strong long-term collectible appreciation, highly sought after by North American collectors of Chinese Qing imperial porcelain.
