The base foot shows dry, ancient clay texture with clear wheel-throwing marks and natural soil patina, no modern restoration. It follows standard Meiping shape: small rolled mouth rim, short narrow neck, full rounded shoulder tapering smoothly down to a shallow ring foot, with soft, elegant overall proportions. The body is covered with off-white slip under clear transparent glaze, covered in fine natural crackle typical of aged Cizhou porcelain, with light gray porous body clay characteristic of this northern kiln group. The exterior is hand-painted with high-iron brown pigment featuring bird and flower motifs. The central motif is a singing bird perched on twisting branches, filled with deep brown and detailed thin lines defining feather layers for vivid lifelike expression. The composition is accented with winding floral vines, bamboo leaves and fluttering butterflies, rendered with free, unrestrained brushwork that embodies the bold, simple folk art style of ancient northern China. Double brown line borders frame the scene at the mouth, neck shoulder and lower foot to balance the layout, creating a well-organized visual hierarchy.
