拍品描述

Measurements:Mouth diameter 24.2 cm / 9.53 inches, overall height 12.5 cm / 4.92 inches, Yuan Dynasty from 13th to 14th CenturyCondition & Provenance:The entire bowl is intact without penetrating cracks or large chips, only one tiny original kiln speck inside the bowl and faint minor glaze wear on foot rim, natural aging marks from centuries of inheritance. Both interior and exterior are fully covered with thick even pink celadon glaze, the tone is soft fresh green with matte ancient patina and tiny natural firing brown specks across the glaze surface. Subtle carved lotus branch patterns lie hidden at the bowl center with fluid primitive carving lines. The exposed clay foot rim is wrapped with natural light brown iron rust firing red, clay body dense and dry, no later grinding, repair or acid artificial patina treatment. This piece was collected by a veteran ancient celadon collector based in Hong Kong, acquired in 2025 by a private Longquan celadon specialized collection in Miami, Florida, long-term preserved inside constant temperature, UV-blocking and moisture-proof professional storage cabinets.Object Description:This large carved pink celadon bowl was fired by Longquan kiln during the Yuan Dynasty, a heavy vessel for banquet display and overseas export in Yuan times, oversized intact Longquan bowls are scarce on the antique market. It adopts classic deep-bellied rice hat silhouette with slightly flared wide mouth, deep curved wall tapering down to a narrow ring foot, well-proportioned and grand in overall shape. The whole inner and outer walls are fully coated with plump uniform pink celadon glaze, thick translucent and elegant fresh green, top-tier classic glaze tone of Longquan ware, soft mild luster without harsh glare, covered with evenly distributed ancient patina accumulated over hundreds of years. Subtle carved folding lotus branch patterns are incised under glaze at bowl center, faintly visible through celadon glaze, representative under-glaze carving craft of Yuan Longquan, minimalist and restrained to match the elegant Song-Yuan aesthetic. No inscription carved on flat base, exposed clay at foot rim forms natural iron rust red ring, the transition between clay and glaze is smooth and distinct, grey-white compact clay body matches standard Yuan Longquan kiln characteristics. Longquan celadon was widely traded domestically and overseas in Yuan Dynasty, large-size bowls like this serve both daily use and decorative display. Intact large bowls with clear under-glaze lotus carving and pure consistent glaze color are extremely rare. This bowl holds distinct authentic kiln marks, complete body and premium glaze tone, acting as core physical artifact for researching Yuan Longquan porcelain craft and ancient maritime ceramic trade culture, carrying top-tier celadon collecting value, hall decorative display value and historical academic research significance.
