Measurements:Overall height 33 cm / 12.99 inches, width 14.8 cm / 5.83 inches, total weight 2589 grams, Qing Dynasty from 17th to 19th CenturyCondition & Provenance:The entire statue is fully intact with no missing fragments. The bronze core is thick and solid, fully gilded all over. The surface gilding bears natural age-related wear; raised areas on chest, belly and limbs show slight loss revealing bronze base, while most original bright gilded luster remains untouched. Natural turquoise stones are inlaid on waist belts, ankle ornaments, armlets and crown. The inlaid stones stay firmly set with only minor weathering on a small portion, no major stone chipping or loss. Intricate floral patterns are chiseled all over the robe, every line stays crisp and distinct without blurring from abrasion. The bottom of the base features original honeycomb casting texture, no modern grinding or alteration, covered by naturally aged mellow patina. This artwork was once owned by a senior antique collector based in Bangkok, acquired in 2024 by a private Himalayan Buddha statue collection in San Francisco, California. It has been carefully preserved in a constant-temperature lightproof display case, with no later restoration or chemical cleaning treatment.Object Description:This gilt bronze standing Tara statue follows Tibetan Buddhist artistic styles of the Qing Dynasty, ranking as a top-tier fine Himalayan religious sculpture. The piece is cast as a single whole using lost-wax casting techniques. The deity stands in the classic three-fold tribhanga posture with soft, plump and graceful body curves. The facial carving is exquisitely executed with a gentle, merciful expression; the urna on the forehead and delicate facial features are vividly rendered. She wears an ornate multi-layer precious crown paired with large hoop earrings, forming rich layered accessories. Her right hand presents the abhaya mudra for fearlessness, while the left hand gently grips a lotus stem with budding blooms. A gem-adorned belt wraps around her waist, and she stands on an oval lotus plinth with flowing, elegant hem drapery. Entire robes are covered with meticulously chiseled scrolling floral patterns showing extreme craftsmanship. Natural turquoise inlays decorate the whole statue, creating an elegant visual contrast between warm gold and cool blue stone. The base bottom retains the bumpy honeycomb texture formed during ancient casting, a genuine craft mark of old Buddhist sculptures. Standing Tara figures are far less common than seated versions on the antique market. This medium-sized statue retains most original gilding and turquoise inlays, with well-balanced proportions and a solemn yet gentle aura. It holds tremendous religious significance for Tibetan Buddhism, plus high craft value as a Qing gilt bronze artwork. It belongs to the core collectible category of Himalayan Buddha statues overseas, with outstanding value for display and long-term heritage collection.
