Description:This 15th‑century Ming Yongle blue‑and‑white jar with interlocking floral scrolls is a fine imperial‑studio storage jar of early Ming dynasty. It has a robust well‑proportioned form with short straight neck, broad full shoulder, bulging belly and gently tapering lower body.Neck is decorated with square‑patterned key‑fret border.Below neck runs a frieze of stylized lotus petals each inset with four‑leaf flower.Main body is painted with continuous scrolling precious floral motifs, twisting vines and open blossoms rendered with powerful fluid brushwork in balanced dense composition.A matching stylized lotus‑petal band encircles lower belly echoing upper decoration.Interior is covered with bluish‑white glaze with visible wheel‑throwing traces. The base is unglazed flat sand‑finish base with solid slightly off‑white porcelain body, heavily coated with aged soil encrustation. This jar uses imported early Ming smalt cobalt pigment delivering rich deep‑blue tone with natural bleeding and scattered dark iron spots, the overlying glaze is thick and lustrous with soft bluish‑white undertone.Multi‑layer decoration is elaborate yet well‑organized, fully showcases supreme porcelain‑making and painting craftsmanship of Yongle imperial kiln,it stands as a representative Yong‑Xuande blue‑and‑white jar example.
