The whole vessel is covered in turquoise ground decorated with continuous light grey sgraffito cloud scrolls, with no large-scale glaze loss or worn pigment. Three round white reserve panels are set across the jar, hand-painted with European figures, mountains and plants in famille rose enamel. The figures’ facial features, robes and floral foliage feature rich layered pigments, only tiny faint wear spots from age exist, no hairline cracks, chips or broken porcelain. The matching domed lid is fully intact, decorated with identical cloud scroll patterns consistent with the jar body, the red enamel pearl knob retains vibrant original color, the lid rim fits tightly without warping. The inner mouth glaze is clean, the foot base is fully covered with turquoise glaze, the exposed foot rim only carries faint natural aged soil patina, no base repair, re-glazing or structural cracks. This jar is a high-quality Late Qing export porcelain piece shipped to Europe and America in late Qing times. It entered a private collector’s collection in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA in the 1970s, displayed indoors with constant temperature and light protection for generations.
