Dimensions:Height 2.5 cm (0.98 in),Mouth diameter 16.5 cm (6.50 in),Song Dynasty,10th‑13th CenturyCondition & Provenance:The plate is fully intact without cracks or chips.Floral rim shows faint natural wear from historical usage.Glaze remains lustrous and well‑preserved,mould‑printed decorations beneath glaze stay sharply defined.The foot ring is neatly trimmed,base glaze intact with faint burial soil patina.No cracks,restoration,re‑glazing or modern polishing.This plate derives from a private Hong Kong collection focused on Song‑dynasty southern Chinese porcelains.The collector specialized in Yingqing ware.It was purchased from a local Hong Kong antique gallery in 2001,kept in climate‑controlled storage,and released during collection reorganization.Description:This fine floral‑rim plate is a representative utilitarian‑decorative porcelain made at Hutian kiln,Jingdezhen during Song dynasty.The rim is shaped into undulating petal lobes,the plate body is shallow and wide with a small neat foot ring.Interior is decorated with mould‑impressed ornamentation.Radiating chrysanthemum petals spread outward surrounding central medallion,while a band of scrolling small flowers encircles the inner rim.The entire surface is covered with translucent Yingqing glaze of soft pale aqua‑blue tone,the signature glaze of Hutian ware.Petal edges on rim are thinly glazed exposing pale creamy‑white body,a typical feature of Song‑period floral‑rim pieces.Exterior is plain with soft even glaze and cleanly trimmed foot.Although mould‑printed Yingqing plates were widely produced in Song times,well‑preserved specimens with crisp pattern detail remain desirable for collectors.This example features balanced shape,distinct moulded relief and elegant mild glaze tone.It perfectly embodies the subtle refined aesthetic of southern Song bluish‑white porcelain,qualifying as a high‑quality collectible of Hutian kiln.
