It has never been offered for auction or public museum exhibition. It has small mouth, full pear‑shaped body fitted with short spout and ribbed handle. Outer foot ring is encircled by carved upward‑pointing lotus petals. Body exterior is fully decorated with freely‑unfurling carved scrolling peonies, executed in sharp, confident cutting strokes characteristic of classic Yaozhou ware. Olive‑toned celadon glaze extends over most surface, interspersed with fine natural crackle. Glaze pools within carved grooves to accentuate relief of floral patterns. Unglazed foot shows typical Yaozhou kiln rust‑brown firing discoloration. Yaozhou celadon is celebrated for its crisp carving and lush floral ornamentation. This well‑preserved ewer exhibits rounded form, complete decoration and authentic crackled glaze, embodying the robust yet refined aesthetic of northern Song celadon. It is a fine functional Yaozhou artifact, well‑suited for specialized antique‑ceramic collection and table‑top display.
