Dimensions：Height 9 cm (3‑35/64 in), Mouth Diameter 11.5 cm (4‑17/32 in); Song DynastyCondition & Provenance：The censer is complete and intact, without cracks or major repairs. Minor surface wear consistent with age is visible on the rim and leg tips. The unglazed base shows natural firing discoloration and earth‑borne patina. This archaistic qingbai porcelain comes from a distinguished private early‑ceramic collection based in Seattle, Washington. It was acquired during European gallery transactions in the mid‑1970s and has remained within one family collection, never previously offered for public auction.Description：This elegant qingbai tripod ding censer takes its form from ancient bronze ritual ding vessels. It features a deep rounded bowl‑shaped body, a pair of upright rectangular flanges on the rim, and three sturdy hollow tubular legs supporting the vessel. The exterior wall is finely moulded with dense repeating lei‑wen spiral geometric patterns, evoking the decorative language of Shang‑Zhou bronze ritual wares. The whole piece is covered with a soft translucent bluish‑white qingbai glaze, characteristic of Jingdezhen Song‑dynasty porcelain, with smooth lustrous finish inside and out. The base is partially unglazed, revealing fine‑grained porcelain body with natural kiln‑derived stains. Song‑period archaistic porcelain ritual vessels reflect the scholarly antiquarian taste of the era. This well‑preserved ding‑form censer successfully merges bronze‑inspired antique styling with the refined translucent qingbai glaze technique of Jingdezhen, serving as both incense burner and scholar‑studio decorative object.
