拍品描述
Dimensions:Height 25.5cm (10in), Maximum Width 17cm (6‑3/4in)Condition & Provenance:The ewer is largely intact, with no large cracks or restorations. The soft bluish‑white qingbai glaze develops natural fine crackle across the exterior and interior. Minor scattered speckled inclusions are visible within the glaze. The neck is decorated with moulded leaf motifs, while the bulbous body is divided into segmented panels filled with scrolling floral scrollwork. The base reveals an unglazed, sandy‑toned foot ring with characteristic aged iron‑rust discoloration, consistent with Song‑dynasty kiln production. There is faint age‑related wear to high‑relief areas of the moulded patterns. This vessel comes from a private European collection assembled in the 1980s and is entering public auction for the first time.Description:This is an elegant Song‑dynasty qingbai porcelain ewer. It features a flared trumpet‑shaped mouth, tall slender neck, full globular body, a gracefully curved spout and a matching strap handle. The whole piece is covered by a translucent, lustrous icy bluish‑white qingbai glaze with natural crackle. Moulded carved ornamentation runs across the surface: the neck bears stylized plantain‑leaf patterns, and the rounded body is partitioned into lobed sections densely filled with scrolling floral and foliate designs. The decorative motifs are crisply rendered beneath the translucent glaze. The exposed foot‑ring shows sandy‑coloured clay with accumulated firing‑related rust‑brown discoloration. As an important Song‑dynasty drinking‑and‑serving vessel, this large qingbai ewer showcases the sophisticated moulding techniques and the celebrated translucent glaze of Jingdezhen porcelain of the period.
