拍品描述

Dimensions：Diam.0.394ft（Diam.12cm） Condition & Provenance：The stem cup is structurally complete without penetrating cracks or hairlines. Slight rim wear accrued from long‑term historical usage, minor age‑related pigment loss along raised moulded decoration, normal condition for antique polychrome porcelain. Tiny scattered earth‑borne specks on glaze surface, no chips, restored fills, repainting, re‑gilding or artificial grinding. Exposed base foot shows dry coarse original clay with mottled old earth encrustation. From private collection of Ms.R·T, San Francisco, California, USA. The collector specialized in ancient East Asian religious‑theme porcelain. Acquired 1991 from prominent San‑Francisco Asian art antique dealer, passed down within family, preserved in climate‑controlled private storage. Never offered at public auction, no institutional museum exhibition history. Description：This is a rare Yuan‑dynasty Jingdezhen wucai stem cup for Buddhist ritual offering. It has flared wide rim. Exterior wall features raised moulded lotus‑petal reserved panels, each panel holds one gilded eight‑auspicious‑symbol motif rendered in red, green and blue enamels with fine gilded highlights. Outer rim is encircled by scrolling floral sprigs. Tall stem is adorned with red ruyi scroll patterns. Interior center bears Sanskrit mantra inside begonia‑shaped frame, inner rim decorated with scrolling floral and fruit border. The base glaze presents soft milky‑white tone. Raised moulded motifs deliver strong three‑dimensional visual effect with layered colorful enamels. Combination of eight auspicious emblems and Sanskrit text represents classic Yuan‑period Buddhist sacrificial ware. Moulded plus gilded polychrome technique is quite rare among surviving Yuan porcelain, making this a valuable religious ceramic artifact.
