Description：This is an imperial blue‑and‑white day‑lily scroll bowl of Chenghua reign, Ming dynasty. Slightly flared rim, gently curved body and well‑formed foot‑ring, fine thin porcelain body with lustrous white glaze. Double underglaze‑blue lines decorate inner and outer rim. Interior centre features a roundel of blooming day‑lily within double blue circles. Both inner wall and exterior are painted with scrolling day‑lily blossoms and foliage, winding stems interlace freely, vivid and delicate brushwork. Painted with typical Chenghua “equality blue” cobalt pigment, presenting soft muted blue tone. Base bears six‑character Chenghua reign mark within double blue circles in regular script. Day‑lily symbolizes joy and peace. Chenghua blue‑and‑white floral wares are relatively rare, this bowl represents fine craftsmanship of mid‑Ming imperial porcelain, with remarkable artistic and collectible value.
