Matching domed lid with fully gilded pearl finial, decorated with kui‑dragon and scrolling flowers over pink sgraffito ground, gilt‑edged rim. The exterior features delicate pink sgraffito scrollwork as background. Main belly decoration consists of symmetrical archaistic kui‑dragons interspersed with blooming precious lotus scrolls, rendered in rich palette of red, blue, green and yellow. Multi‑coloured decorative bands encircle the neck, and a band of upright lotus‑petal motif runs along lower body. Spout and handle repeat the sgraffito‑and‑floral scheme. Gilding accents mouth, lid and foot rims. Base covered in pale‑celadon glaze bearing blue‑enamel four‑character square mark “Qian Long Nian Zhi”. Sgraffito famille‑rose is hallmark Qianlong imperial porcelain technique. This teapot unites sgraffito, famille‑rose enamel and gilding, presenting magnificent imperial aesthetic, both functional and highly collectible.
