Dimensions：H.14.5 cm Condition & Provenance：Complete, no cracks or chips. Glossy intact glaze, characteristic white rim edge, natural age‑related wear at foot‑glaze junction, no chemical cleaning. Formerly private collection of Robert Hansen, New York City, New York, U.S.A. Acquired in 1990s, family heirloom. Never appeared at public auction, no exhibition or publication records. Description：A fine Langyao‑red monochrome glazed vase of Kangxi reign, a prestigious early‑Qing display porcelain. Modelled in classic bell‑shaped yao ling zun form, with small mouth, long straight neck, smoothly transitioning to stout cylindrical body and recessed foot, the elegant outline resembles an ancient hand bell. The exterior is fully covered with rich Langyao‑red glaze of deep gem‑red tone, thick and lustrous, with fine natural hair‑crack texture. The glaze thins at mouth rim producing the typical narrow white “lamp‑wick” edge; glaze flows downwards and accumulates near foot, embodying the celebrated Langyao feature “rim unglazed, glaze hangs yet does not flow over foot”. Interior and base are glazed white, base marked with double underglaze‑blue circles. Langyao‑red was produced under supervision of Lang Tingji during Kangxi era, notoriously difficult to fire, fine examples are scarce. This vase possesses stately form and saturated glaze, representing high‑quality Qing monochrome porcelain for scholar’s studio display.
