拍品描述
Dimensions:H.15.5 cm Condition & Provenance:Pair fully preserved, no cracks or chips. Rich saturated sacrificial‑red glaze with glossy surface, crisp white rims on all edges, natural age‑related wear on foot rings, no chemical cleaning. Formerly private collection of Arthur Miller, San Francisco, California, U.S.A. Acquired in 1990s, family heirloom. Never appeared at public auction, no exhibition or publication records. Description:A fine pair of imperial‑style Qianlong sacrificial‑red glazed porcelain candlesticks for court ritual use. Multi‑tiered structure composed of broad base, segmented stem, middle drip‑pan and top candle holder with central pin‑hole for candle insertion. The whole body is covered in deep lustrous sacrificial‑red glaze. Bright white “straw‑edge” rims appear neatly at every opening and flange, creating sharp contrast against red glaze. Each base is covered with clean white glaze, bearing underglaze‑blue six‑character square seal mark “Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi”. Sacrificial‑red was a technically‑challenged prestigious monochrome glaze in Qing imperial porcelain. Well‑modelled and preserved as an original pair, these candlesticks represent high‑rank Qing ritual porcelains.
