Description:A magnificent imperial‑style Qianlong revolving vase, one of the most prestigious decorative porcelains for the Qing court. Composite construction consisting of outer shell, inner core and neck sleeve. The outer shell is covered in lustrous jet‑black black‑gold glaze, richly adorned with heavy gilded scrolling lotus and treasure‑flower patterns. Four loop handles are moulded on the shoulder. The belly is pierced with four foliate‑shape gilt‑edged openings. When disassembled, the inner core is revealed, decorated all‑round in famille‑rose on pale‑blue ground with vivid fish‑and‑water‑plant scene. Carp swim amid water weeds and fallen blossoms with meticulously rendered scales and fins. Rotating the neck turns the inner core, bringing different sections of the painted scene into view through the pierced windows. Gilt border motifs including ruyi heads and key‑fret patterns decorate neck, mouth and base. The base of outer shell is glazed in turquoise‑green, bearing underglaze‑blue six‑character square seal mark “Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi”. Revolving vases demand highly sophisticated techniques combining body‑forming, glazing, gilding, enamel painting and interlocking assembly, exemplifying peak craftsmanship of Qianlong imperial porcelain.
