Description：An imperial Qianlong ink‑painted long‑necked “water‑chestnut” vase for palace display. With flared gilt‑edged mouth, tall slender neck, broad sloping shoulder, compressed globular body and raised foot ring. Painted on white porcelain ground in monochrome sepia‑ink palette, depicting a powerful dragon roaming through billowing cloud banks. The dragon’s head is fierce, claws sharp and vigorous, its body partially concealed amongst swirling clouds rendered with skillful gradation of ink tones. Drawing inspiration from Chinese ink‑wash painting, varying shades of ink create depth and atmospheric effect. The interior of mouth and base are glazed in turquoise‑blue, base bears a six‑character blue‑and‑white seal mark “Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi”. Elegant in shape and masterful in painterly execution, it stands as a fine example of Qianlong monochrome ink‑decorated porcelain.
