A Chinese yellow‑ground yun‑jin brocade dragon robe L. 199 cm. W. 140 cm. A Chinese yellow‑ground yun‑jin brocade dragon robe, measuring 199cm long, 140cm wide. Woven in luxurious yun‑jin brocade upon a golden‑yellow silk ground, the robe is richly decorated with prominent five‑clawed dragons interspersed among colourful cloud motifs. Further ornamentation includes rolling sea‑wave and mountain landscape patterns along the hem, with contrasting dark‑coloured sleeve cuffs. The diagonal front closure and round neck are finely finished. Subtle signs of age and wear consistent with long‑term preservation are visible across the textile surface.
