A Chinese kesi silk thangka L. 153 cm. W. 94 cm. A Chinese kesi silk thangka, measuring 153cm long, 94cm wide. Executed in the fine tapestry‑weave kesi technique, the central deity sits in meditation upon an elaborate lotus throne, surrounded by stylized clouds, blooming flora and symbolic ritual offerings. The central woven panel is framed by concentric borders of red, golden‑yellow and deep indigo‑blue textile. Distinct fine tapestry threads render facial features, ornaments and landscape details. Visible fold creases and minor surface wear are present, consistent with handling and long‑term preservation of this devotional woven textile.
