A Chinese kesi tapestry with flowers and birds L. 120 cm. W. 71 cm. A Chinese kesi tapestry with flowers and birds, measuring 120cm long, 71cm wide. This vertical woven panel features blossoming peony branches, garden rockwork and a flying butterfly against a deep muted‑green ground. A small square seal motif is woven at the upper section. The top and bottom edges are finished with golden bands and loose textile fringes. Executed in refined kesi tapestry‑weaving technique, it employs warm earth‑toned threads to render the natural scene. Creases and minor fraying consistent with age and handling are present across the textile.
