A CHINESE PAINTING OF LANDSCAPE, SIGNED ZHANG DAQIAN Image only size 110 cm by 52 cm. Ink and colour on paper, horizontal scroll by Zhang Daqian (1899‑1983), measuring 110 x 52 cm. Titled High Mountains and Long Rivers, this work depicts towering mist‑wrapped mountain gorges, winding waterways, tiny fishing boats and scattered mountain dwellings. Executed with the artist’s characteristic splashed‑ink technique, dense washes blend with precise linework. Bearing the artist’s colophon and multiple red seals. The composition conveys grand, serene mountain momentum, exemplifying Zhang Daqian’s mature landscape‑painting achievement.
