A CHINESE PAINTING OF CABBAGE & QUAIL, SIGNED ANONYMOUS Image only size 33 cm by 36 cm. Ink and colour on silk, album leaf, anonymous antique Chinese painting, measuring 33 x 36 cm. This aged silk work features a large Chinese cabbage alongside two quail pecking at foliage. Fine meticulous brushwork renders vegetable textures and birds’ plumage. The silk exhibits natural age‑related toning and minor wear. Inscribed calligraphy and seals are present on the left margin. Though bearing an old attribution, no confirmed original artist identity survives. A charming example of traditional Chinese vegetable‑and‑bird subject painting.
