拍品描述
A CHINESE PAINTING OF NARCISSUS, SIGNED ANONYMOUS Image only size 75 cm by 29.5 cm. Ink and colour on silk, vertical hanging scroll, anonymous Chinese antique painting, measuring 75 x 29.5 cm. Painted on aged golden‑toned silk with natural craquelure, this work depicts clumps of blossoming narcissus together with a vivid butterfly hovering nearby. Executed in fine meticulous gongbi brushwork, with carefully layered pigments defining slender leaves and delicate petals. No extant artist’s signature. It is a fine example of traditional Chinese flower‑and‑insect painting, conveying elegant, quiet natural charm.
