拍品描述
A CHINESE PAINTING OF SKETCHES, SIGNED CHANG YU Image only size 38 cm by 24 cm. Ink and watercolor on paper, an album containing multiple sheets of lively sketches by Sanyu (Chang Yu, 1895‑1966). Measuring 38 x 24 cm, this album presents female nudes, seated ladies, potted flowers, cats, leopard and deer, executed in his signature fluid calligraphic linework. Blending Chinese ink tradition with Paris‑era modern sensibility, each sheet bears the artist’s seal mark. Rendered with economical, expressive brushwork, the works capture casual poise of figures and quiet charm of flora and fauna, representative of Sanyu’s celebrated draftsmanship on paper.
