A CHINESE PAINTING OF LANDSCAPE, SIGNED ZHANG DAQIAN Image only size 136 cm by 65 cm. Ink and colour on paper, hanging scroll, signed Zhang Daqian, measuring 136 x 65 cm. This monumental mountain landscape depicts towering jagged peaks shrouded in swirling mist, dense pine forests, cascading waterfall, a mountain pass building and a robed scholar gazing at the falls. Executed with forceful brushwork and subtle mineral‑green washes. An inscription with date and two red artist seals appear in the upper‑left corner. The composition conveys the grandeur of rugged northern Chinese mountain scenery.
