Chinese Zitan Wood Ruyi Scepter L. 45 cm. W. 9 cm. Weight 260 grams. A smooth‑polished ruyi scepter carved from dense zitan hardwood. The slender, elegantly curved shaft terminates in a sculpted seed‑pod head modelled as a lotus seed‑pod, with inlaid round light‑toned studs representing seeds. Deep dark lustre characterises the wood surface, exhibiting fine natural grain. The overall form is refined and restrained, typical of traditional auspicious scholar‑decor.
