A Chinese copper‑alloy Buddhist deity figure L. 20 cm. W. 15 cm. H. 42 cm. Weight 4760 grams. A Chinese copper‑alloy Buddhist deity figure, measuring 20cm long, 15cm wide, 42cm high, weighing 4760 grams. Cast in copper‑alloy, the deity stands upright upon a square base, adorned with an elaborate ornate headdress, fine jewellery and richly decorated layered garments. The figure presents distinctive facial features with hands held together at the chest, and swirling decorative ribbons extending from both sides of the torso. The metal bears a mellow aged patina. Minor surface abrasions consistent with ritual use and long‑term handling can be observed across the sculpture.
