Chinese Copper Seated Buddha Figure

拍品描述

Chinese Copper Seated Buddha Figure H. 18 cm. W. 15 cm. A devotional Buddha statue cast in copper, seated in full lotus position upon a multi‑layered lotus pedestal. The right hand extends downward in bhumisparsha mudra, while the left hand rests upon his lap. Traces of gilding remain on the facial features and cranial ushnisha, contrasting against the rich dark patinated copper surface. Crisply moulded lotus petals embellish the stepped base. Serene facial expression and balanced proportions reflect traditional Buddhist iconography. This fine religious sculpture appeals to collectors of Asian devotional metalwork. Dimensions: Height 18 cm, Width 15 cm. A copper seated Buddha with partial gilding and carved lotus pedestal.
