Constructed with gilt‑metal mounts and a curved overhead carrying handle, the box comprises four stacked compartments. The turquoise‑ground cloisonné body is decorated with scrolling floral motifs, interspersed with shaped cartouches enclosing painted landscape scenes featuring figures, pavilions and mountains.
