A Chinese seed‑stitch embroidered dragon robe L. 137 cm. W. 83 cm. A Chinese seed‑stitch embroidered dragon robe, measuring 137cm long, 83cm wide. This full‑cut robe is constructed from rich deep‑blue silk satin, featuring wide sleeves and traditional side fastening with yellow toggle buttons. Dynamic golden dragon motifs amidst cloud and wave patterns are rendered in meticulous seed‑stitch embroidery across the chest, shoulders and lower hem. The inner collar is lined with contrasting yellow fabric. Creases, minor fading and surface wear consistent with age and handling are evident throughout the silk textile.
