A Chinese blue‑and‑white dragon meiping vase L. 13.5 cm. W. 13.5 cm. H. 24 cm. Weight 880 grams. A Chinese blue‑and‑white dragon meiping vase, measuring 13.5cm long, 13.5cm wide, 24cm high, weighing 880 grams. The robust plum‑shaped vessel has a short narrow neck and broad tapering body, supported by a sturdy foot. Bold underglaze‑blue decoration features a powerful coiling dragon amid cloud scrolls on the main body, with scrolling floral motifs encircling the shoulder and stylized petal panels decorating the lower section. Subtle tonal variations appear within the cobalt pigment. Minor wear consistent with age and handling is visible on the glaze and foot rim.
