Carved from creamy‑toned nephrite naturally suffused with dark russet and grey‑brown inclusions. Elaborate multi‑layered open‑work relief depicts intertwined sinuous chilong beasts winding amid scrolling tendrils, with complex negative‑space cut‑outs throughout the composition. Dynamic flowing forms showcase skilled carving technique. The surface bears a smooth mellow polish, forming a substantial ornate archaistic‑style jade ornament.
