Chinese Nephrite Dragon knob Seal L. 4.8 cm. W. 4.8 cm. H. 6 cm. Weight 270 grams. A substantial square‑form nephrite jade seal carved from pale celadon stone. The top is richly sculpted with intertwined coiled dragons clutching a pearl in high relief, displaying dynamic flowing manes and sinuous bodies. The vertical sides bear finely incised gilded Chinese calligraphic inscriptions. The stone surface has a smooth, lustrous polish. Dimensions: Length 4.8 cm, Width 4.8 cm, Height 6 cm, Weight 270 g. An impressive scholarly jade seal with elaborate carving.
