A Chinese nephrite jade dancing‑figure pendant L. 8.5 cm. W. 3 cm. Weight 20 grams. A Chinese nephrite jade dancing‑figure pendant, measuring 8.5cm long, 3cm wide, weight 20 grams. Carved from warm pale yellowish‑toned nephrite with subtle russet streaks across the stone. Executed in openwork relief, the figure depicts a dancer in flowing layered robes, with elegantly swirling sleeves raised overhead. Fine incised lines define facial features, hair and garment folds. Small suspension holes are pierced for attachment. Smooth polished surfaces yield a soft gentle lustre, representing a classic archaistic jade figural ornament.
