拍品描述

A Chinese gilt‑bronze Buddha figure L. 11 cm. W. 8 cm. H. 15.5 cm. Weight 690 grams. A Chinese gilt‑bronze Buddha figure, measuring 11 cm long, 8 cm wide, 15.5 cm high, weight 690 grams. Cast in gilt‑bronze, the deity sits in full lotus posture upon a double‑layered lotus pedestal with finely moulded overlapping petals. The figure wears an ornate multi‑pointed crown, elaborate earrings and beaded neck ornaments. One hand extends outward in varada mudra while the other rests in the lap. Remnants of cold pigment adorn the facial features. Traces of wear across the gilded surface attest to devotional handling, a fine Tibetan‑style devotional bronze.
