A Chinese agate gem‑inlaid censer‑vase‑box set L. 5.8 cm. W. 4.5 cm. H. 12 cm. Weight 270 grams. A Chinese agate gem‑inlaid censer‑vase‑box set, measuring 5.8 cm long, 4.5 cm wide, 12 cm high, weight 270 grams. Comprising three pieces: a lidded pear‑shaped vase with loop handles, a small censer and a circular covered box, all carved from translucent pale agate. The surfaces are richly embellished with multi‑coloured hardstone inlays depicting children, cranes, pine trees and auspicious botanical motifs. Smooth polished agate contrasts against vibrant varied gemstones, forming an elegant scholar’s altar set of fine decorative craftsmanship.
