拍品描述

Chinese Lapis Lazuli Boy‑and‑Buffalo Carving H. 6.5 cm. W. 9.8 cm. A solid lapis lazuli carving depicting a recumbent buffalo with a playful boy clinging upon its back. The stone displays rich saturated deep‑blue colour interspersed with natural golden‑grey mineral inclusions. Fluid carving renders the buffalo’s curling horns, facial features and musculature, while the child’s relaxed posture and flowing sashes are finely detailed. Smooth polished surfaces highlight the vivid gemstone hue. This charming figural group represents fine Chinese hard‑stone carving, ideal for decorative‑arts collectors. Dimensions: Height 6.5 cm, Width 9.8 cm. A lapis lazuli carved ornament of boy frolicking upon buffalo.
