A Chinese Yixing zisha lotus‑form teapot L. 17 cm. W. 12 cm. H. 8 cm. Weight 350 grams. A Chinese Yixing zisha lotus‑form teapot, measuring 17cm long, 12cm wide, 8cm high, weight 350 grams. Modelled from dark brown zisha clay in the shape of a full lotus seed pod, the body is detailed with natural leaf vein textures. The lid is surmounted by a pair of mandarin duck finials, surrounded by seed‑pod apertures. The spout mimics folded lotus foliage, while the robust loop handle is adorned with a budding lotus‑flower motif. Incised decorative marks appear on the body. The clay surface bears gentle patina consistent with age and long‑term collection.
