文案(英):Tang Yin, courtesy name Bohu and sobriquet Liuru Jushi, was one of the Four Masters of the Ming Dynasty. Endowed with extraordinary talent, he excelled in poetry, calligraphy and painting. His landscapes drew from Zhou Chen with Tang and Song influences, characterised by elegant vigour. This blue-and-green silk painting depicts the scene of Baohui Hall with magnificent pavilions and figures, inscribed "Zhengde 2nd year summer, Tang Yin of Wu Prefecture". Baohui Hall was the estate of Northern Song collector Wang Shen, celebrated in Su Shi’s Record of Baohui Hall. Tang Yin chose this theme both as an homage to Northern Song literati gatherings and an expression of his own artistic ideals. With vivid colour and finely rendered figures, it exemplifies his blue-and-green landscape style. Tang Yin, courtesy name Bohu and sobriquet Liuru Jushi, was one of the Four Masters of the Ming Dynasty.
