Decorated in underglaze blue with interlocking floral scrolls in free, spontaneous brushwork, the glaze has a subtle bluish-white tone. Ming blue and white porcelain is represented by Yongle, Xuande, Chenghua and Jiajing-Wanli periods; this bowl, with fine glaze and body, is a product of the Jingdezhen kilns from the mid-to-late Ming Dynasty.
