拍品名(英)：A Hetian Jade Auspicious Beast Paperweight_Qing Dynasty 文案(中)：瑞獸鎮紙是文房常設之具，既可用以壓紙，亦作清玩陳設。此獸伏臥回首，身形渾圓，神態溫馴中含威猛，承襲漢代玉辟邪的造型傳統。玉獸題材由來已久，漢魏多作辟邪鎮墓，唐宋以後漸入文房，轉為案頭清供，寓意驅邪納福。玉質青中帶黃，局部受沁，古意盎然，配紫檀底座，是清代仿古玉雕中文房用具的實例。 文案(英)：Auspicious beast paperweights are standard scholar’s desk implements. This recumbent beast with turned head follows Han jade bixie (evil-averter) tradition. Jade beasts evolved from Han-Wei tomb guardians to Song-Yuan scholar’s desk ornaments, symbolising warding off evil.
