拍品名(英)：A Hetian White Jade Censer with Five Sons Motif and Gold Inlay_Qianlong Mark, Qing Dynasty 文案(中)：香爐為焚香之器，始於戰國博山爐，至明清發展為文房與佛堂並重的雅具。此爐以和闐白玉為身，嵌金（錯金）浮雕纏枝花卉，嵌紅、藍、綠寶石點綴，蓋頂雕童子騎象，爐身四童子攀附，是「五子登科」的傳統題材。五子登科典出五代竇禹鈞教子有方，五子相繼登第，後世以之喻教子成才、科舉順遂。象首三足諧音「太平有象」，寓意天下太平。此爐集玉雕、錯金、嵌寶於一體，是乾隆時期宮廷工藝「多寶嵌」風格的代表。 文案(英)：Incense burners evolved into Ming-Qing scholar’s studio and Buddhist hall accoutrements. This Hetian jade censer has cuojin (gold inlay) interlocking flowers and gem accents. The lid features a boy on elephant, body has four clambering boys – "five sons passing examinations" (wuzi dengke) motif symbolising educational success. Three elephant feet pun for "peace and prosperity".
