A Chinese carved carnelian agate 'Boys and Vase' snuff bottle with stopper and spoon, late Qing or Republic period, the fiery orange-red stone with dark and milky white natural inclusions, worked in high relief with two boys climbing the sides of a large vase, the front face with a scholar's pavilion in a craggy landscape with bamboo trees, 7 cm high  Natural hairline fissures/fractures, the stopper has a chip to one point, some other minor losses and surface wear
