米友仁(款) 楚江風雨圖卷｜Attributed to Mi Youren, Wind and Rain over the Chu River

Attributed to Mi Youren Wind and Rain over the Chu River ink on silk, handscroll signed Mi Youren colophons by Yao Nai (1732-1815), dated dingsi (1797) and with three seals of his; by Duan Fang (1861-1911), dated the first year of Xuantong era (1909) and with two seals of his with nine collectors’ seals, including one from Duan Fang and two from Lu Shusheng (1509-1605) 52 × 261 cm. 20 ½ × 102 ¾ in. PROVENANCE Collection of Duan Fang (1861-1911), acquired in China between 1894 and 1922, thence in the family by decent Sotheby’s Paris, Fine Chinese Paintings, Calligraphy and Rubbings from a German Private Collection, 12 June 2018, lot 27 LITERATURE Please refer to the Chinese literature 米友仁(款)　楚江風雨圖卷 水墨絹本　手卷 (端方)袌翁不以賞鑑鳴，而有精鑑別之目。惜袌軒詩集於宋元明國朝人畫頗有題詠(文集題跋一卷中，無題畫者)，然皆精審收覈，無絲毫叚借語。此詩見先生詩集第五卷(卷作萬山乘雲欲飛去，雧作萬山欲駕雲飛去；霾霧冥露江樹句——雧作霧，卷作見；颯颯風漂勁柯動句——雧作漂，卷作搖)於元暉此畫反復歎賞於百九十九言中，墨舞筆歌，傾倒倍至。其所題錢舜舉賺蘭亭圖，元人散牧晚歸圖，宋院畫林擒孔雀諸圖，未見推許如此之至者也。是卷累七八百年，名流題筆殆亦不少，而都為妄人割去，僅存袌翁此跋詩，不無遺憾。方獨謂巋然靈光，得一足以勝千百也(冥下遺濛字，露字誤霧字)。宣統元年(1909)正月初吉，浭陽端方題於金陵官舍五至堂。鈐印：「端方之印」 、「陶翁」 (陸樹聲)「陸樹聲鑒賞章」、「歸安陸樹聲收藏金石書畫印」 六印漫漶不清 巴黎蘇富比，墨緣：德國私人舊藏中國書畫金石拓本專場，2018年6月12日，拍品編號27
