A Chinese Kesi Civil Fifth Rank Badge Qing dynasty (1644-1912), late 18th or 19th century, square embroidered panel with metallic gold ground decorated in kesi stitch with a white long-tailed silver pheasant standing on a rock amidst waves, clouds, and auspicious Buddhist or Daoist symbols facing a red sun, wan pattern border, lined in light blue silk to reverse. 10 3/4 x 11 1/2 in.
