Two Chinese Dragon Embroidered Panels for Court Robe Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, the first panel embroidered in roundel format with silver and gold metallic wrapped thread featuring a frontal facing five claw imperial dragon against a blue silk ground, now dark lavender from fading, and a panel embroidered with polychrome silk and gold metallic wrapped thread featuring a serpentine dragon chasing a flaming pearl resembling the ninth dragon that would decorate the interior of a court robe.
