英文品名：Qi Baishi, Shrimp and Dragonfly, hanging scroll, ink and colour on paper 齊白石（1864—1957），字瀕生，湖南湘潭人，近現代中國畫宗師，詩書畫印四絕，尤以花鳥蟲魚題材馳名。其筆墨簡煉傳神，融民間意趣與文人情致，渾樸生動，自成一派。此二幀一寫荷塘釣蝦，一寫秋瓜蟲趣，皆以潑墨揮寫枝葉蔬果，工筆細繪草蟲蜻蜓，工寫相濟，空靈雋永，為其水族與蔬果題材的經典面貌。兩作均收錄於上海人民美術出版社出版之《近現代六大名家精品書畫集》。 Qi Baishi (1864–1957), courtesy name Binsheng, was a grand master of modern Chinese painting from Xiangtan, Hunan, accomplished in poetry, calligraphy, painting and seal carving, especially celebrated for his flower, bird, insect and fish subjects. With succinct, vivid brushwork blending folk charm and literati sensibility, he forged a distinctive, rustic and lively style. These two works, one depicting shrimp fishing by a lotus pond and the other autumn gourds with insects, feature splashed-ink foliage and vegetables alongside fine-brushed insects and dragonflies. Combining meticulous and freehand techniques with spacious, lasting appeal, they represent his classic style in aquatic and vegetable-themed painting. Both works are included in *Fine Paintings and Calligraphy by Six Great Modern Masters* published by Shanghai People’s Fine Arts Publishing House.
