A Chinese Light Apricot Ground Embroidered Silk Table Frontal, Late Qing Dynasty 清晚期 杏子地綉鳳穿牡丹桌圍鏡框 The main panel is embroidered to depict a phoenix and peacock resting above rockery, surrounded by further birds amongst blossoming trees. The upper register is worked in gold-wrapped threads with four shou medallions enclosed by floral sprigs and butterflies; framed. Frontal 32 3/4 x 38 1/4 in., 83.2 x 97.2 cm.
