A fine Lund's Bristol scallop shell pickle dish, circa 1749-51 painted with a 'Long Eliza' figure flanked by trees with birds in flight to either side, the rim with diaper panels and leaf motifs, 9 x 8cm. Provenance: The Bernard Watney collection, Phillips, Bond Street, 22/9/99 lot 140. An English private collection purchased at Steppes Hill Farm Antiques 12/10/1999.
